In 2000, while I was involved in youth ministry, I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Kenya...

Since then I have been to Kenya and Uganda many times. I have had the honor of serving on the missions board at my church, as President of the African Valley Center in Kenya, and as a board member of Global Compassion Resources.

I am also an educator with over 20 years of experience with my educational background and credentials in history. This includes a Masters in Education and a PhD in history focusing on East Africa in the Colonial and Post-Colonial periods. Most of my work in Africa has been dedicated to educational projects and business development through sustainable projects and small business growth.
