After treatment, I was not even able to talk. I asked, “How much do I need to pay?”
They told me: “Mom, go home, and don't forget to see the pharmacist to get your medication to go with you.”

Global Compassion Resources has been offering medical help to our community of Kapsumbeiwet-Ziwa. Through the organization’s support, we have continually conducted free medical camps and follow-up medical clinics monthly. Our community comprises of elderly people, young families and children who lack medical insurance cover or even finances to cover their medical bills if they go to private hospitals/clinics as the government hospitals may be very far from them. Over the period, they have been consistently followed up by our doctors, treated and issued with medication.
The common diseases affecting the older population are hypertension and diabetes, which we have created much awareness on since they are preventable. We have had many cases of infections, malnutrition affecting mainly the younger age group. Over time, we have seen a few mental illnesses and developmental disorders. The community members have greatly benefited medically by receiving our service. During the medical camps, as a volunteer, I clearly see joy and gladness in people as they come and go.
We sincerely thank you, our co-worker, for the support you offer in this great work of helping Gods people. Service to humanity is service to God.
