MEDICAL CAMP REPORT - 7TH NOVEMBER, 2020

Most patients used to call one week earlier to confirm if we would make it on the day we promised. Some just walked in to confirm if we made it. On my part I used to ask myself, “Will this be possible? Will this project be sustainable?” My doubts. Seeing impossibility. A thorn in my flesh. But hasn’t God been providing for his children? Hasn’t God been showing me my fears? Hasn’t God shown me the strength of his helping hand?

Thank you so much for helping to draw me closer to God. Thank you for loving me and other God’s children. Thank you for making this project possible. Through this project, God has wiped tears from the eyes of many families.

George Marani arriving at the medical camp

I do not know much about medicine, but the story of George Marani touched my heart. He is 79 years old. He visited us during one of our medical camps. He said that the doctors treated him for over three years, but was not getting better. They treated pneumonia, typhoid, amoeba and other diseases but his health was getting worse. Was he fated to die? Had God abandoned him?

George heard about our medical camps and he came just to try. After giving him time to explain himself we discovered that he had a motorbike accident five years earlier and had injured his chest and head. We referred him to a referral hospital to take ECHO and ECG. The results showed that he had Congestive Cardiac Failure.

He started attending our medical clinics and his health has improved tremendously. He had wrong diagnosis for many years and had lost hope. Just twenty minutes of patiently listening and asking simple questions made it possible for us to get the right diagnosis. Twenty minutes of simple love has brought hope to this old man. Twenty minutes has brought a smile to the face of this man. Twenty minutes has made this man know God. Twenty minutes of simple love made this man conclude that God knows his name and loves him.

There is more we are learning about God through giving that standing on the pulpit. There is more God is going to teach us and draw us closer to him through this medical camps.

May God bless you so much for your continued support.
